NotchPal is a macOS desktop app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and how to delete it. The rule is simple: collect only what’s needed, and nothing we can do without.
Most features work without signing in. In that case everything stays on your Mac, including presets, widget settings and game high scores. We keep no server records and run no analytics.
Chat in pet rooms disappears after it’s read: messages live only in the participants’ device memory and vanish a few seconds after being seen. Our servers only relay them; they are never written to a database or logged.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe; we never see or store them. We keep only the order number, the amount, and whether the payment succeeded.
On first launch, the app lists every permission it uses and what each one is for, in a single window. You can decline any of them:
All of this data is used only on your Mac and is never uploaded to our servers. The one exception is weather: when looking it up, the app sends your approximate location (to within about 1 km) to the weather service listed below.
The translation widget uses Apple’s built-in, on-device translation. Your text isn’t sent to anyone.
We don’t use advertising SDKs, don’t track your behavior, and never sell your data.
In the app, open the Account & Friends page and choose “Delete Account” at the bottom. This permanently deletes your account, friends, coins and orders from our servers. You can also email hello@notchpal.xyz and ask us to delete it.
